The Investment Banking Division's Equity Derivatives and Fixed Income teams are dedicated to servicing clients with a range of innovative products within the structured retail product space.
Equity Derivatives
Equity Derivatives provides customers with a full range of equity related products, investment options and financing solutions, as well as sophisticated hedging and risk management expertise and comprehensive execution capabilities. The Group's mandate is to trade vanilla (listed and OTC), structured and exotic equity products, and to build a customer franchise that is integrated with, as well as complementing other Equity businesses.
Clients include financial institutions, hedge funds, asset managers and corporations across all regions, including the Emerging Markets. Marketing and Structuring are mandated to identify client needs with a view to finding the appropriate solutions and transactions, while Trading is responsible for hedging risk in the open market.
Fixed Income
We deliver holistic advice on managing a wide range of debt liabilities and financing opportunities up and down the capital structure. Our views are backed by robust relationships in the international capital and trading markets and driven by a tradition of transaction excellence and product innovation. Among our largest businesses are industry-leading franchises in Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, and Emerging Markets. Our securitized structured products in ABS, CMBS, RMBS and CDOs represent another cornerstone of our business. Investors and clients rely on a value-added investment research offering and highly tailored electronic delivery platforms.
In 2005, Fixed Income won plaudits for leadership from clients and Industry press. The Bank won Emerging Market Bond House from Euromoney magazine and International Financing Review (IFR) as well as Latin American Bond House from IFR. In the US, IFR recognized the franchise as having the top US Leveraged Loan House and US Loan Trading House for the second time in three years while Finance Asia and the UK's Financial News named the franchise top High Yield Bond House of the year in those respective regions.
