Get Java
Running LOCuS requires Sun Java, version 1.4.1 or later.
Please wait while the Java setup on this workstation is
tested. If necessary, Java will be automatically installed
from Sun's website.
NOTE: If Java is running, you should see a
simple clock applet. If you see a ticking clock,
click here to return to the LOCuS Home Page.
If you do not see a clock applet, or you see any errors,
please see the Troubleshooting section below.
Troubleshooting
Please note that to install Java, you must have
administrator privileges (access rights for installing
software) on this computer.
If you do not have administrator privileges, please
contact your IT department and have them access this page
for automatic installation.
The automatic Java installer requires that ActiveX
controls are allowed to be run in your browser. If the
automatic installer does not work, you may download and
install Java manually from Sun's website.
To download Java and proceed with a manual
installation, go to
http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp. Instructions
are provided on that page.
You can also access Sun's Java Help web page at
http://java.com/en/download/help/.
If you are unable to install Java2, you may run the
previous Java1 version by clicking the "Run Previous Version"
link at the top-right of the home page.
For assistance, please use the Contact Us
link near the top-right of this page.
